Afia Health is a virtual health clinic serving Ontario, Canada. It was co-founded by Nadine Shaban, NP (Nurse Practitioner specializing in obesity medicine, metabolic health, hormone health, and bariatric care) and Jaclyn Phillips, CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and nutrition coach with 12+ years of experience).

The clinic treats hormones, weight, and long-term strength as one interconnected system rather than separate problems. All appointments are virtual. The clinic is fee-for-service because nurse practitioners in private practice in Ontario cannot bill OHIP.

## Pricing
- Initial consultation: $295 CAD (45 minutes, includes 4 weeks of training and nutrition support)
- Clinical follow-up: $150 CAD
- Training Club membership: $129/month
- 1:1 Coaching membership: $499/month

## Coverage
- Consultations and follow-ups are NOT covered by OHIP (nurse practitioners in private practice cannot bill OHIP in Ontario)
- Some extended health plans may reimburse nurse practitioner visits
- Lab work, referrals to specialists, and prescriptions remain covered as usual (subject to usual drug coverage)
- You will receive a receipt for every appointment. Some extended health benefit plans or Health Spending Accounts may reimburse nurse practitioner visits — check with your insurer.
- Consultations and follow-up fees may be tax-deductible as medical expenses.
